A charming little resort with great potential! The room we had was spacious, featuring a lovely bathtub and two sinks. Although the resort is located on a main road, it remains peaceful. There's a supermarket conveniently located just across the street. The pool may be on the smaller side, but it was perfect for our needs. We noticed fresh towels available on the sunbeds almost all the time. Our room had a lovely view of the pool, and the terrace was absolutely stunning. The ambiance in the evening, with the lit candles and lights around the pool, created a beautiful and romantic atmosphere. As for cleanliness, it was definitely the tidiest room we've experienced in Malaysia, though we did notice some stains on the bedsheets and a particular smell. A few corners in the bathroom could use a bit more attention, as there was some trash that seemed to have been there for a while. Regarding maintenance, there are definitely areas that could benefit from some upkeep rather than just a quick fix with tape. Breakfast was an interesting experience during our three-night stay. My husband ordered the same breakfast with curry puff each day. On the first day, he received one curry puff, the second day two, and on the third day, none at all! I tried nasi lemak once and received two servings, while I noticed other guests only got one. It would be nice to have a consistent standard for breakfast portions.
We enjoyed a delightful stay in two beautiful rooms, the Telaga and Manshouri Suite. The furnishings, textiles, and lighting were exquisite, and the color palette was very pleasing. The pool area was serene and enchanting, especially with the candlelight in the evenings. For our anniversary, we were treated to a lovely decoration featuring towel art and a jacuzzi filled with foam and flowers—absolutely wonderful! The staff was incredibly accommodating, promptly addressing a lighting issue on the terrace with the help of an electrician the very next day. This hotel truly feels like an oasis compared to many other hotels and restaurants in the area, which can often be quite unappealing. Breakfast was served from a fixed, simple menu, which might not meet everyone's expectations for a buffet with more options. However, we discovered that we could order additional items like yogurt, which was a nice surprise. The hotel is conveniently located for Grab (taxi) rides, as there aren't many pleasant walking paths to the beach; we recommend heading to the southern beaches via Grab. While we didn't try the small lunch menu, it was nice to see it available. It might be beneficial for them to consider offering a small evening menu as well. Lastly, a little maintenance on the pool lights would enhance the experience, and perhaps for next Christmas, they could opt for more subtle decorations instead of the blinking ones!
