Dehradun, situated 236 km from Delhi, is everything that a travel destination should be. Café culture is booming in Dehradun, to make the city more cosy and relaxed. Places that definitely should be visited are Ellora (with amazing cookies), Lhasa (with its authentic Tibetan cuisine), The Orchid (for its scenic views), Swasteek (a Himalayan Resort); and the most important of all, the Tibetan market, one of the most famous flea markets of India.
Not only Dehradun, their are various places to visit in Uttarakhand like Mussorie and Rishikesh are a short drive away, less than two hours; and they offer many options of sightseeing and adventure too.
