After a fun-filled InstaMeet in Bangalore, our fellow Instagrammers met in Mumbai for the second OYO InstaMeet on 30 January 2016.
We chose South Mumbai as our hunting ground owing to its reputation as one of the most architecturally rich areas across India. Art Deco, a term often associated with the architectural style used in buildings built between the 1920s to the 1940s, figures prominently in many of the buildings in South Mumbai. No surprises then, that the prevalence of symmetrical design, ornate facades with contrasting windows in geometric patterns, and the use of earthy colors were captured beautifully on camera during the photo-walk that happened along with the InstaMeet. The walk was lead by Meghna Girohtra, founder of mumbai_igers and a total of 28 Instagrammers attended the same.
Here are some of the most stunning images clicked by the group.
Looks amazing, doesn’t it? Why don’t you pick your DSLR and visit these places yourself? You can book OYOs in the Colaba-Churchgate area here. Stay tuned to our blog, our Instagram handle and subscribe to our newsletter to stay updated on the next InstaMeet.
