OYO Marine Parade Hotel, Eastbourne Pier

My 2 children and I booked an impromptu trip to Eastbourne for 2 nights last weekend. We arrived by train at 5:45pm to be greeted by Atta. He was super friendly and helpful, a credit to the OYO hotel. We had an option of 2 rooms as we booked a Triple room but we chose room 21 on the second floor. There is a small lift so great when carrying lots of bags. The room showed decent decorations but peeling in some places so it wasn't a big deal. There was a clean kettle to use and some biscuits which the children enjoyed. The bedsheets were clean. Some suggestions for improvement would be: * Shelves in the bathroom * Hand towel hook (I didn't get any hand towels as part of the stay but didn't bother asking) The room is in a very good location and is a 2 min walk to a local tesco and a 5 min walk to the pier. Beware of the huge seagulls haha they saw out snacks by the window from far away and would tap on the window to the kids amusement. If you are a light sleeper this is not a venue for you as the walls are thin and you can hear everything next door. We were lucky it wasn't too noisy. The bed is also super soft if you prefer a harder mattress. The children enjoyed playing with the piano in the reception area and it was really helpful to be able to use the microwave for some quick meals. Would I come back? Yes I would, Atta kindly let us leave our luggage as we enjoyed our last day and collected in the afternoon. Thank you again Atta and the treats you left with the children. What a great guy! He showed me a message on his phone first to ask if the kids were allowed it before giving it.

The hotel is really well located in Eastbourne - opposite the beach and and about a 7 min walk into the Town/Railway Station. It was easy to park on street close to/opposite the hotel. The hotel provides parking permits at a minimal cost. There is a convenience late night store within 2-3 mins. The double bedroom was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. Ample coffee and milk sachets + toiletries. The service was great, organized and well run. Reception very professional and helpful. My room and en-suite was very clean. For a 2 star hotel it is exceptional. The exterior needs redecorating, which lets its curb appeal down a bit, but the facilities and internal space are very comfortable and I would stay there again. The hotel states the rooms are sound-proofed and I didn't hear any noise at all during my stay.
