As you enter the hotel from the car park foyer to the reception, you instantly feel the charm of the establishment. Stepping in from the car park, you find yourself in a spacious lounge area equipped with a TV and pool table, beautifully arranged to provide plenty of space for relaxation. A grand fireplace elegantly divides the lounge from the bar area, which I can only imagine is wonderfully inviting during the colder months. The bar itself is delightful, and the blue lighting adds a lovely ambiance to the display. Moving on, you pass the breakfast and restaurant area, where breakfast is served from 7am to 9am, offering both continental and full English options for those with a hearty appetite. In the evening, this area transforms into a charming restaurant. Next, you arrive at the front of the hotel, which is easily accessible by foot, bus, or train. The reception staff were exceptional—friendly, engaging, and the check-in process was seamless, with everything clearly explained. We were informed of our room number and floor, as well as the locations of the stairs and lift. We were on the first floor, so we took the lift up. Upon reaching the first floor, I was captivated by the stunning staircase, which looked magnificent from top to bottom across all three levels. We made our way to room 201, and as we entered, it felt fresh and welcoming, with the windows left open to let in a pleasant breeze on a warm day. The room featured a comfortable double bed, bedside cabinets, a full-length mirror, a wardrobe stocked with plenty of hangers and fresh towels, and shelves inside. The wardrobe also contained the iron and ironing board. There was a large table with tea-making facilities, a phone for contacting reception, and three small drawers—one for general use, one a safe (with a key available at reception), and another housing a hairdryer. To complete the room, there was a chair under the desk and a cozy armchair for relaxation. When I opened the bathroom door, the light automatically activated the fan. The bathroom was well-sized, featuring a bath with an overhead shower, a sink, and a toilet, all stocked with toilet rolls and plenty of towels, plus an abundance of hot water.
