A city-centre hotel with spa serenity, event perfection and stylish stays
Sunday Hotel Cardiff sits right where old Cardiff meets the modern one — a spot where you can still feel that mix of bustle and warmth. The arcades are minutes away, the Bay is just down the road, and the hum of the city feels familiar, not overwhelming.
Before this part of town grew into today’s lively shopping and café district, it was known for small independent traders, old arcades, and the quiet spillover from the docks. People from all over Wales would drift in for goods, music, and the kind of chatter you only get in a small, friendly city.
Your room feels like a calm perch above Cardiff. Warm lighting, plush bedding, and in many rooms, wide window views that sweep across the city’s rooftops. Sunsets here hit different — the skyline catches just the right glow, especially on a breezy Welsh evening.
Make a cup of tea, pull the curtains slightly open, and let the city settle around you.
Cardiff locals love a good steam, a long soak, and a slow swim — and our spa allows all of that under one roof. Drift between the pool, jacuzzi, steam room, and spa treatments; stay as long as your shoulders need to drop. (Access charge: £10 per adult.)
Cardiff’s food scene is quietly excellent — shaped by Welsh produce, coastal flavours, and the city’s love for hearty, comforting meals. Think:
At Sunday Hotel Cardiff, the restaurant blends these local influences with modern flavours, while the lounge bar offers easy drinks and slow afternoons — perfect after a day wandering the arcades or the Bay.
Sunday is for everyone, including pets. Whether you’re strolling through Bute Park, walking by the Bay, or simply curling up in your room, your furry companions are welcome to share the weekend mood.
Sunday Hotel Cardiff gives you the city’s energy when you want it and a soft landing when you need it. A base with stories.
A stay with ease. A mood that feels like Sunday — even on a Tuesday.

Our stay was truly beyond what we had hoped for. The staff was not only courteous and professional, but they also went the extra mile to make our experience memorable. We were celebrating our anniversary, which we mentioned during our booking, and to our surprise, we were upgraded to a stunning room with a breathtaking view. They even surprised us with some delightful sweets and a lovely 'happy anniversary' card. I was so touched by their thoughtfulness that I couldn't help but get a little emotional (I guess I'm a softie at heart). This trip was incredibly special for us, and the hotel staff made it even more unforgettable. The room itself was immaculate, cozy, and impressively spacious, complete with a lovely view. The bed was incredibly comfortable, which is a big deal since my partner is quite particular about sleeping arrangements. Although our stay was brief due to work commitments, we didn't have the chance to enjoy the spa facilities, but we are definitely looking forward to returning for a longer visit and hopefully indulging in those amenities then!

I stayed here for a night while working in Cardiff, and it was a great experience. The check-in process was seamless, and I requested a room in a quieter part of the hotel, which they kindly accommodated by placing me on the top floor. The room was fantastic and had everything I could possibly need. It was very spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable! The air conditioning functioned perfectly and was simple to operate. The Wi-Fi was excellent; I worked from my room for a few hours without any connectivity issues. When I checked in, I was offered the option of having breakfast delivered to my room the next morning. I chose a delivery time between 8am and 8:30am, and my breakfast arrived right at 8am. I was really pleased with the service here and would definitely choose to stay again if I find myself in Cardiff in the future.
