Our recent stay at this hotel was truly lovely. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and offered stunning panoramic views of the local area. The bed, pillows, and bedding were exceptionally comfortable — my partner and I had one of the best night’s sleep we’ve had in a long time, which is no small thing! That said, there were a few minor details that didn’t quite meet the expectations of a hotel marketed as “luxury”: - The front-of-house staff, who are the face of the business, came across as rather unwelcoming — a simple smile would have made a big difference. - There were no complimentary biscuits in the room — a small touch, but one that guests often appreciate. - The stairwells were quite unsightly. While I assume they’re not typically seen by guests, the lifts were out of order, so we had little choice. - There was an additional charge of £10 to use the swimming and hot tub facilities. We didn’t plan to use them, but charging extra felt a little odd, again, for a luxury hotel. These were the only minor drawbacks we encountered. Overall, the hotel itself is lovely — and while the location may not be to everyone’s taste, we had no issue with it at all. After all, you can’t pick up a hotel and move it — and for us, it was just grand!
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the incredibly friendly staff at the hotel. They were absolutely fantastic—so welcoming and eager to assist with anything we needed. The hotel itself was immaculate, and our room was well-ventilated with amazing amenities like a swimming pool and gym, all available for free to guests. The locals were also very kind, and we enjoyed the comfort of the beds and the spotless bathroom. The only minor issue was that the phone in our room didn’t work, but it didn’t bother us at all. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone! I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff for making us feel so special during our stay. They even surprised me with balloons, banners, a cake, and a card for my birthday, which brought me to tears—it was such a lovely surprise! Thank you so much for making my birthday unforgettable. If we find ourselves in this area again, we would definitely choose to stay here once more!
