OYO recently welcomed two leaders in pioneering roles in the company – Anil Goel joined OYO as Chief Technology Officer and Smriti Subramanian as General Counsel. The hiring impresses how OYO is growing into a stronger, larger entity and we need strong custodians to manage critical components of our business. Both Anil and Smriti bring a wealth of experience and expertise in their respective fields. Their appointments are pivotal to maintain the company’s momentum as we advance our offerings in the hospitality segment.
Here’s more about the latest members of our family.
An adventure enthusiast, Anil is a tech industry veteran. He joins OYO following a 3-year tenure at Amazon.com as the Global Head of Technology (CTO) for Customer Returns and Reverse Logistics business. Prior to this, Anil was the CTO at Hike Messenger. He has spent a decade-and-a-half in Seattle, working in various technology development and leadership roles at RealNetworks, Capgemini and HyperQuality.
At OYO, Anil is responsible for driving the technology strategy and cohesively integrating it with OYO’s business strategy, simultaneously identifying new opportunities, managing the R&D department and monitoring technological and social trends. He is also focusing on building the team and strengthening mid-level leadership.
Smriti, a seasoned attorney, was working with British Petroleum prior to joining OYO. She was Legal Counsel at BP for more than 2 years. She has over 15 years of experience of working with well-known Indian and multinational corporates and boutique law firms with primary focus on energy, natural resources, infrastructure and consumer goods industry. Besides having her hands full as General Counsel, Smriti has an equally important role of driving the Diversity and Culture mandate at OYO.
