Technology is at the heart of OYO, which is one of the few organizations in the hospitality industry to use IoT-powered (Internet of things) solutions. To further strengthen our portfolio and enhance our guest and asset owner experience, we are announcing the acquisition of AblePlus, a Mumbai-based IoT startup. This acquisition enables us to use technology for remote management and monitoring of rooms across our properties.

AblePlus was founded by Akash Goel and Bonish Gandhi in January 2017. With their expertise, we plan to implement IoT and Machine Learning to personalize the journey of our guests. We aim to develop a sustainable ecosystem powered by Artificial Intelligence to achieve improved operational efficiency. With AblePlus now on board, we are a step closer to consolidating our vision of creating beautiful living spaces across India and the globe. Our guests will have full control of their bookings, from self-check-ins to Self-KYC with Aadhar and IoT server managed smart locks through the implementation of IoT-enabled operations. The rollout of technology-enabled operations will ensure better tracking of assets across properties and reduce the wastage of electricity and minimize our carbon footprint. We plan to introduce voice-based assistance in rooms enabling automation of controlling appliances and lights among other services in near future.

As an early adopter of IoT-powered technologies, we look forward to delivering new, advanced applications for key vertical markets that will offer elevated customer experience. This will take OYO a step closer to consolidating its vision of creating beautiful living spaces across India and the globe.
