Be it the tropical Amazonian rainforest and its wildlife, serene white-sand beaches, the Rio Carnival, Christ, the Redeemer statue or its rich heritage, Brazil has some of the most breathtaking landscapes and a vibrant culture. Seeing the potential that Brazil’s tourism ecosystem has in store, we’ve expanded our reach across this vibrant land in the past one year, offering thousands of consumers access to over 400 OYO hotels, with 12,000 rooms spread across 40+ cities in Brazil!
Today, one can spot an OYO across the country’s most sought-after destinations, including São Paulo, Campinas, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Fortaleza and Porto Alegre. This is no small feat. Our local teams have gone above and beyond to reach this incredibly humbling milestone in OYO Brazil.
In 2018, Brazil recorded 6.5 million foreign visitors, which made it the second most attractive destination in South America after Argentina and third in Latin America after Mexico and Argentina. Tourism is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the country with many locals and as well as international tourists driving this upward curve. We at OYO, in partnership with hundreds of our asset owners, are set to delight these guests who are on the lookout for quality and comfortable stays!
Empowering our asset owners with tech capabilities & seamless hospitality solutions
It’s fascinating that within a short span of time, asset owners on an average record a 20-30% increase in occupancy after partnering with us. These early results have given us immense confidence in staying committed to Brazil and continue investing in our capable teams to take the brand to greater heights in 2020.
Being a tech-first company, we always push limits to continuously innovate hospitality solutions that will help us empower our individual asset partners. For our customers in Brazil, this means an easy and seamless booking, check in and check out experience.
One of our asset owners from Rio de Janeiro, Luiz Santiago, Director of Finance, of the OYO Rio Colinas Hotel located in Copacabana shared, “Since the beginning of our association with OYO, our visibility has increased, our occupation has surpassed our historical records and revenue is a lot higher than what it was before we associated with OYO.”
Customers remain at the heart of everything we do at OYO!
We stay committed to our mission of upgrading all forms of real estate and enable travellers and city dwellers experience #LivingTheGoodLife. We prioritise providing a happy and comfortable stay for every consumer who opts for an OYO. Owing to our efforts in ensuring the best consumer experience, we’re super humbled to share that in the last three months, most of our guests in Brazil were repeat customers, who on average shared a very positive rating of 7.5+/10, is a strong testament of our undeterred focus on delivering a quality guest experience.
