Chanderkhani Pass is situated in Kullu district of the Kullu and Manali area in the state of Himachal Pradesh. It located at a height of 3660 metres. Malana is very close to Chanderkhani. It is one of the best trekking destinations in India. The trekking route of Chanderkhani Pass goes crossing Naggar to Malana. The Chandrakhani Pass trek would require you a minimum of 6 days and a maximum of 10 days if you wish to have the whole of it with you. The Chanderkhani pass has a lot of religious importance. It is said that the pass was actually a seat of Saptarishi Jamadagni’s meditation point. There are also many local Gods that are worshipped in this area.  The nearby mountain ranges are Indrasan, Deo Tibba, Parvathi range and Pir Panjal range all have equal honour.

1. Beas Kund Trek

The glacial lake in the Beas Kund lake is one of the reasons to visit Himachal Pradesh altogether.

2. Chandratal Baralacha Trek

Situated about 4300 metres above the sea level is the Chandratal Baralacha. It is one of the lakes situated in the highest of altitudes. It is located on the Samudra Plateau of the Spiti valley. There are several other lakes and gleaming landscapes that surround the Chandratal Baralacha lake. Apart from this, you can also find vivid species of flora and fauna. The second part of the trek is on the road on Leh- Manali Highway. The place is filled with alpine forest and is a paradise for trekkers.

3. The Great Himalayan National Park

 One of the most famous parks in India is the Great Himalayan National Park. The park has many villages that have varied cultures. These villages are unique to their own cultures and have their own tribal deities. These are also a very cultural place you can be on your vacation. It is located in the Kullu region and has received a status of Nation Park in 1999. It has 375 species of fauna, mammals vary from more than 31 species and more while the park is home to 180 species of birds. It is a great place to unwind the hectic life schedules you dearly want to run from.

How to Reach

To avail the Chandrakhani Pass trek, one can travel by air, road or rail. If you decide to travel by air, the nearest airport is Bhuntar Airport. Bhuntar Airport is situated in the Bhuntar town, which is further situated on the side of the NH21. Kullu is on the south-west and Kasol is very near to the Kullu town of Bhutnar. When travelling by road Naggar is the nearest location from Manali as well as Kullu. You can arrive in either of the two towns and reach Naggar from where you can set foot to Chandrakhani Pass. To travel to Kullu or Manali, you would need to be travelling on NH21 from Delhi and then move to Ambala located in NH22. If you wish to travel by rail, Manali is not close to a railway station, hence, Chandigarh is the next best alternative. When the broad gauge railway station is Chandigarh, the narrow gauge railway station, nearest to reach Chandrakhani Pass would be Joginder Nagar which is around 84 miles in distance and you can reach in very less time.
