When to Visit

This tropical island has only two seasons – the summers and the monsoon. The island welcomes you with all its flora and fauna anytime of the year, but if you want to have the season’s best, it is between April and June. The temperature is between 24 degrees to 32 degrees Celsius. This makes the weather just lovely for sightseeing or a laid back afternoon in the resort. For the rush of adrenaline too, the weather makes it perfect for parasailing, or scuba diving in Andaman.

How to Reach the Andamans.

The best way to reach the Andamans is by ship. This will be a sojourn that you will never forget, I can bet you. The ship sets sail from Kolkata, Vishakapatnam or Chennai and harbours at Port Blair. Four to five days of sailing and it is destination ahoy. If you are a busy bee with not too much time to spare on sailing the high seas, air is the best option. So go ahead, fly over the clouds and land in the very beautiful Port Blair’s Veer Savarkar International Airport, from any of the major cities of India. To reach Neil Island or the Havelock Island you must take a ferry from Port Blair. The ferries are run by private operators or by the Government. One thing, you must keep in mind is that the Government ferries cannot be pre booked.
