It is run by the government and wildlife is created here with the help of Chinkara. There are various specimens kept here like the Chinkara, peacock and Gaur, along with many other plants. The museum is open from 9 am to 5: 30 pm. Entry fee is very little, only INR 10 for adults and INR 5 for children.
Coimbatore is known as Manchester of South India and it is predominantly because of the textile industry here. You can learn all about it by visiting the textile museum. The history of textiles is traced here, along with the origin of a number of cloth fibers and the earlier tools used to produce cloth. One can learn about the advent of the modern sewing machines and how the progress of style and changed the process of creating textiles. The museum is open from 9 am to 6 pm.
