One of the most renowned car museums in the entire country, this museum had been built by GD Naidu who was an industrialist and the museum was established due to his efforts. One can see how cars are made and engineered and it is quite an interesting tour. Some vintage cars are also to be seen here. Entry is only INR 50 for adults and INR 20 for the children and free for younger children.

10. Get Up Close with Wildlife at 3D Gass Forest Museum

It is true we cannot just go to a forest whenever we like and have a rendezvous with the wild life but in Coimbatore there is the something akin to a natural history museum which is very popular. It is run by the government and wildlife is created here with the help of Chinkara. There are various specimens kept here like the Chinkara, peacock and Gaur, along with many other plants. The museum is open from 9 am to 5: 30 pm. Entry fee is very little, only INR 10 for adults and INR 5 for children.

Coimbatore is known as Manchester of South India and it is predominantly because of the textile industry here. You can learn all about it by visiting the textile museum. The history of textiles is traced here, along with the origin of a number of cloth fibers and the earlier tools used to produce cloth.
