Nestled at a distance of 41km from Ooty, Mudumalai National Park in the Nilgiri District of Tamil Nadu is home to many endangered animal and bird species. It is the connecting link between the Western and Eastern Ghats and shares its borders with Kerala and Karnataka. This protected area is an abode for many rare and endangered species including Indian elephant, Bengal tiger, gaur, and Indian leopard.
