Houston celebrates the culinary arts for the entire month of August, concluding on Labor Day. Got a craving? You’ll get the chance to get small plates from  Houston’s fine-dining heavy hitters like Ambrosia and Marsaff’s. More than 140 food purveyors are participating this year, and proceeds go to support the Houston Food Bank.

10th Annual Brewmasters Craft Beer Festival

August 30th – September 1st

Sip, swig, or guzzle your favorite local and imported brews at one of the most popular Labor Day events in Houston. Over 50 beer and cider makers, including Austin Eastciders and Spindletap Brewery, share their favorite craft concoctions. It’s the perfect opportunity to toast to workers’ rights.

Experience the Twilight Epiphany light show at Rice University’s Moody Center for the Arts. Enjoy the multisensorial sunrise or sunset sequence when sound and light come out to play. The space is closed Sundays, Mondays, and holidays, but you can visit Saturday during Labor Day weekend.

All summer long, locally loved Miller Outdoor Theatre hosts performances for the whole community, and you can attend three performances over Labor Day weekend. Performances  include Bach and Piazzolla and Classic Albums Live: The Who Who’s Next. All performances are free!

The Ultimate LGBTQ Pool Party
