This hotel has a bad wrap. It's a family owned hotel with a small staff. It's clean and has amazing charm, the bed was so fluffy and comfortable it felt like sleeping on a cloud. The room had been remodeled recently, there were some plumbing issues but they were resolved quickly. The owner has been working on this hotel for a sum of 70 years not counting the partnership he had during the 2000's. This hotel originally was a much grander stay but was altered by the partner and is currently working it's way back to it's hay day. The overall stay of the hotel was great, I regret not taking more photos, there are murals and lovely vintage furniture. It really is a romantic get away stay
I was warmly welcomed when i arrived to the hotel by a kind man he gave. I was coming by myself for a night just to get some fresh air from illinois(which isnt that far haha) but i originally was told a different price from the one that was online and we got that figured out which wasn’t much of a difference and I was also offered snacks and drinks whenever I wanted to, which were downstairs overall a great experience as a customer. The only downside was when I was going to take a shower the curtains were a little dirty, and it looked like they haven’t been cleaned.
