Drove up to Franklin NC to see family that was coming up from Florida for a visit to see us and other family members. My husband, and I found Lloyd's on the River to stay at for the night, it is a really cool little place to hang out, and prices were very reasonable especially as it was a holiday weekend. Room was spacious, neat, clean, and decorated really cool, heck it even had a Roku big screen TV in the room. The bed was a King size and very comfortable. Our room overlooked the creek which was so peaceful after a long day's drive especially sitting on our little private porch that came with our room and listening to the water flow at night. Such a relaxing sound. Even the mallard ducks came by to say hello to us, they were really cool and very beautiful, they did not appear to be afraid of the guest, they just wanted to have some company. The lady at the office- (sorry I cannot remember her name), but she was very nice, pleasant in welcoming us the day we arrived. While we were there, we went downtown Bryson City and looked through all the little shops on main street in town which was a lot of fun. So many different shops to go through. All in all, we had a great visit to Bryson City. We will definitely be going back to Lloyd's on the River to stay there again very soon and many more times. Want a cool place to stay for a night or a few nights, then you have to check this place out, honestly, you will be glad you did and you will not be disappointed. While some say outdated, I say vintage <3 (Even had retro key) Room was cute, super clean, smelled amazing. AC was ice cold. Roku TV which was very unexpected. I’ve paid more for a room and got much, much worse. As a solo female, felt very safe. I was road tripping and no one had rooms in Maggie Valley and had no interest staying in Cherokee and this popped up on maps. Phone call was a little sketchy (3rd party call center) but when I arrived I was pleasantly surprised. Very nice lady working the office. Will definitely be my regular spot when passing through again / in the area for work.
