I live in NV and was going on a cruise out of Seattle, WA. I was visiting family in OR, and decided to stay overnight closer to Seattle, to shorten the drive prior to sailing. 8 days after I stayed at the Oyo hotel for 1 night, I received a call asking about my stay. I told the guy on the phone, my stay was fine. He asked on a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being the best, how I would rate the hotel. I told him it was a 5. He asked me to leave a review for the hotel. He offered to give me a 40% off coupon, with a 3 month expiration, to leave a review. I told him I don't live in the area and there were no Oyo hotels in my area. Therefore, a coupon with a "3 month" expiration time would do me no good. He guided me to a Google review site. I left a honest, basic review. After leaving the review, and the caller confirming I completed a good review, he attempted to end the call. I stopped him and asked how he was going to send me the 40% coupon for a hotel stay. He reacted surprised and asked me for my email address. I gave him my email address. As of 7 hours after this call and me giving him time to find and complete this review, I still have not received and email including a 40% off coupon for a hotel stay. So....I can say, IMO, employees representing this Oyo hotel are unprofessional.
Honestly the rooms were pretty small, but clean, shower and bathroom were way cleaner than I had first anticipated after seeing the place first hand. She could use some TLC on the outside for certain, but like I said rooms were clean and cozy, no wasted space that is for sure! And I was tickled to see that it came with a smart TV to hook up to my phone or Playstation in my case, and another flat screen that my wife watched ridiculousness on ( it has become a tradition whenever we stay anywhere now)! HOWEVER to the miserable human being working in the evenings or living there...EAT #*#! If you have problems dealing with kind people that are just trying to give you money to stay the night at your motel...you should either retrain retire relocate or regather your future goals, because I cannot imagine anyone looking forward to dealing with you on a business stay level. I would stay again gladly if I knew that ANYONE Else was working besides him! Morning shift was great btw
