The hotel had a fantastic location near Surfside, offered reasonable rates, and was pet-friendly. However, we did encounter some cockroaches when we shifted the refrigerator, which left us with a less than favorable first impression. Despite the modern appearance of the paint and flooring, the overall maintenance was lacking. The bathroom sliding door was quite damaged, and the latch on the room door was broken, giving us an unsettling feeling about our safety.
I booked a king bed smoking room but got a double bed non-smoking instead. Despite this mix-up, the room was immaculate, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The location was great, and the price was excellent. I would certainly return, especially since they recommended a lovely restaurant next door and provided tips on the best fishing spots and a good bait shop. The staff truly enhanced my experience.
