We needed a place to stay and did not have reservations. We were able to get a room for two nights, and the price was right. The hotel has had recent renovations. Our room was nice and had a fridge. The hot tub was soothing after a long day of hiking at Joshua Tree National Park. It is located on the main road and is close to restaurants. The photo is from the third floor of the hotel looking towards the National Park.
This Motel 6 is comfortable and convenient to visiting Joshua Tree National Park. The rooms are spartan, but clean, and I like being able to open the window for fresh air. Not being used to sleeping right next to a busy highway it was the only drawback to my stay (except the coffee wasn't always hot in the morning.), but there is nothing you can do about that, the Route 62, that is.
