I've read the reviews and they're ridiculous. You can't beat the Oyo's price. Its always the cheapest on the grand Strand... even with the resort tax, which is not their fault You're not gonna find a hotel without a resort tax, in the area Or in any other city that has tourists, that the government can make money off of..So, you can't beat it for the price. It's the cheapest hotel. In the area and it is far from the worst. This used to be the coolest area in Myrtle Beach...but it has seem beyter days. If you wanted a booty vacation, you should have done your research.. This is no longer a nice or safe area. It's like choosing to vacation in Atlantic City instead of the hamptons....Everybody knows that Myrtle.Beach is seedy compared to the other beaches in the area. So you're getting a really cheap hotel room in a pretty bad area. It used to be a good area. But when burrows and Chapin took out the pavilion, it went downhill from there.. So, with Myrtle Beach actually crumbling all around you. This is a gem right smack dab in the middle of the hustle and bustle. It's a quick walk to the beach, putt-putt, boardwalk, farris wheel, Ripley's believe it or not, shopping, restaurants and arcades I was expecting a disgusting shit hole But now i've stayed there 3 times pleasantly surprised every single time. The staff is. Amazing. They are helpful, friendly and accommodating. I feel safe on the property , as a single woman.I actually feel safe here. Remember, this is a cheap hotel room and usually cheap hotels pay their staff pennies So, the rooms are generally not very clean. I'm an expert at this topic because I used housekeeping service app the housekeeping service at the Thunderbird motel In north miami beach. Because the rooms have been immaculate every time. I've come here and I come with my own cleaning supplies. I've never had to use 3 times The 3 times that I've stayed here.I've only seen one palmetto bug. That has nothing to do with cleanliness. That's about a water source and every building in the state of southCarolina.. Which is known as the palmetto state. We even have one on our flag. It's almost a requirement to have palmetto bugs, Kind of like pretty much always gonna have a gecko in your hotel room in South florida So if you're staying in a 5 star resort,... you're still gonna get palmetto bugs...Now on to alleged bed bugs..i came with a black light and none of the rooms I stayed In had bed bugs. They're using white bed spreads. Now, which I find to be in very good taste because I like when my feet are bleached. it's very rare to have bed bugs in a hotel room that doesn't have carpeting. These rooms have laminate floors. So the people talking about bed bugs might be using their imagination or maybe They don't understand that there are a couple blocks from the beach and we have no seeums.... Just keep your door closed at sunrise and sunset.. But I saw no evidence of bed bugs.. People shouldn't throw that word around. It can really do harm to people's business period being... If you are not from the South, then you do not understand the bugs bit.Make up our ecosystem from Virginia down to the tip of Florida. We have too many bugs.. We have so many bugs that it's almost like a science fiction novel... And they're not Going anywhere anytime soon So if you don't like bugs.. Maybe you should go to the desert instead of the beach... just sayin... Make sure you bring spray. And I don't mean Raid. I mean, mosquito and no seems spray. There's a good one called no gnats That you can find at ace hardware and beach shops. And, without carpet, and drapery. You're not gonna get bed bugs. It's usually the more expensive hotels that have bed bug problems because of their long hallways with carpeting, the carpet going into the rooms... lots of pillows and Poofy curtains, that's where bed bugs hide. But I haven't seen any evidence, especially .They wouldn't survive on the floors...so if you still scared. Put your suitcase up on the table, .Don't put it on the floor. Lighten up this is a great hotel for the $$$

So knowing where this hotel is and seeing the price, I was expecting a disgusting roach prostitute motel, but I was pleasantly surprised the first time I came here. Not only was it clean? The staff was extra friendly. The patrons of the hotel were quiet and respectful. I was pleasantly surprised.I've read the reviews and I did not have these problems at all. My room was very clean I did not see any bugs at all. And no one approached me in the parking lot.In fact there was a guard there. I felt a hundred percent safebeing a female solo traveler... I mean, it's not the Four Seasons. But what do you expect for $40. The rooms are clean. The air conditioning works excellent. , the water pressure is awesome, so is the water temperature. Coz I like my showers hot period it's safeyou get AT vyou get clean betting. What else do you expect for 40 bucks? I think that they go above and beyond. I will continue staying here over and over when I travel through myrtle beach.
