Huge shout out to Pam, Dylan and Kevin the maintenance guy! When we got to our room the TV didn't work I was SO discouraged. It had been a hell of a bad day and I just wanted to put the baby to bed, watch some tv, eat, and fall asleep into oblivion. It felt like another thing gone wrong and I was bummed. No need. I told the staff about the issue and was stunned. I have never seen staff so concerned about the happiness and creature comforts of a guest. They were prompt, apologetic and so kind. They didn't make it feel like we were interrupting their night and they actually trouble shot and fixed the problem while being quite as church mice to keep from waking my 6 month old. Absolutely stellar human beings. I did not want to deal with an angry travel worn baby. I wanted. Asleep baby, food and to tune out for a few. Pam and Kevin stepped up! they solved the problem and never woke the baby up. How can you ask for better? Dylan was a gem the next morning. He was so helpful and made a fresh pot of coffee when I got the last of the pot and even was kind enough to let us know when it was ready. (Who does that? Not Marriott!) I will ALWAYS stop at this location if I'm in Colorado. I've been to 5 star hotels where they made zero efforts to help or engage. Stuff goes wrong, that's the nature of life. But, I prefer to stay at a hotel where the staff genuinely wants to help and support when life happens. OYO castle rock every time!
Not a bad place in a pinch. My room for a week served its purpose. I liked the location as there were services near me, restaurants, gas station/stores, etc. staff was so so and a little confused at times. The woman at the front, Ann I think was very nice, and seemed to be on her game. we had some key issues and a couple of other glitches, but she cut through the mess and was very much on top of things. I give the OYO 5 stars for service exclusively because of her. Thank you Ms. Ann!! (sp)?
