What can I do in Flagstaff AZ?
  •  Lowell Observatory: Visit the observatory—founded in 1894—to watch history and science come to life. Peer through telescopes, view astronomy exhibits, and visit the displays commemorating momentous findings, such as the discovery of Pluto.
  • Flagstaff Extreme Adventure Course: Make new memories while playing in the trees.  The Adult Adventure Course has multiple large circuits, with a mixture of obstacles and zip lines. Cross wobbly bridges, scramble up walls, and fly from rope swings. There’s even a course for the kids!
  •  Museum of Northern Arizona: Visit this museum to see Native American artifacts and exhibits focused on the history and cultures of northern Arizona and the Colorado Plateau. After exploring the museum, take a stroll around the nature trails and stop at the various garden exhibits to see specimens of native plants and local habitats.
  •  Arizona Snowbowl: Head to the San Francisco Peaks and you’ll find the Arizona Snowbowl, a premier skiing and snowboarding spot at 9,500 ft. There are three courses of varying skill levels to choose from, and lessons are available for adventurers of all ages. In the summer, head to The Snowbowl for hiking and take a ride on the chairlift for a breathtaking scenic view.
  • Meteor Crater: Drive 45 minutes east from Flagstaff to see Earth’s best-preserved meteorite impact site. The meteor crashed into Arizona approximately 50,000 years ago, leaving a crater more than 1 mile across, 2.4 miles in circumference and over 550 feet deep. Check out The Discovery Center for movies and interactive learning experiences or take a Guided Rim Tour for an up-close and informative view of the crater.

What are some good restaurants in Flagstaff?
  • Pizzicletta: This charming restaurant serves authentic Italian pizza made with fresh ingredients. Start with smoked burrata and salumi, then follow it up with a wood-fired pizza. Pair your pie with an offering from their thoughtfully curated wine list or a locally brewed craft beer.
  • Simply Delicious: This catering company is known for its commitment to sustainability: they only use recycled containers for their carryout orders. Cafe Daily Fare is the restaurant arm of their operation, where they create delectable dishes like blueberry duck tacos, Brazilian fish stew, and tri-tip sandwiches.
  • Proper Meats & Provisions: Visit the first exclusively local whole animal butcher shop in Arizona—the place to pick up a specialty cut of meat or a unique product you won’t find in most chain grocery stores. Their menu features hearty sandwiches like fried chicken, BBQ’d pork, and warm pastrami, and while they focus on meat, they also offer vegetarian and vegan sandwiches.
  • Josephine’s Modern American Bistro: Enjoy seasonal produce and seafood at this cozy Flagstaff restaurant. They have extensive brunch, lunch, and dinner menus, but their wine list is the real standout—it’s been featured in Wine Spectator Magazine six years in a row!
