I enjoyed visiting Heritage Bungalow 15 with my extended family in April 2024. In total, we had around 12 people aged between 82 and 13. The stay was an experience I will remember forever. I booked this homestay after reading the reviews on the internet and communicating with Ramita over WhatsApp. Even though I had never met her, there was an immediate connection when we started planning the stay in March. Ramita and Ganga took care of all our wishes and demands. Ganga always had a huge smile and managed all our requests effortlessly without one single tone of protest. The place is beautiful - the people are amicable and accommodating, and the overall experience was mesmerising. I would always recommend this place to anyone wanting a quiet, offbeat vacation amidst the clouds and a homely atmosphere. If you love pets, you will love all the dogs and the three cats staying at the property. They will keep you entertained during your entire stay. I hope to come back sometime and enjoy one more!
We are fortunate enough to choose our stay at the Takdah Heritage Bunglow number 15 on 24th and 25th of Nov, 2023. Before starting with the review I would like to say what makes the building a heritage Bunglow. These buildings were built as quarters or bunkers by Britishers during First World War in 1911 AD.. The beauty of these buildings lie in their unique foundation structure which is supported entirely by the fireplace chimney for each of the rooms. Each and every room is entirely built with stones cut into the most accurate and consistent shape as possible.. The stay was wonderful…..especially the food made us feel nostalgic…Thanks to our lovely host Ramita who made us feel like home… Thanks for being so warm and thanks for the hospitality… All fascilities were just round the corner and all the helpers were so kind, helpful and compassionate..I would like to give a 5 star rating out of 5 for our stay….Looking to visit again soon
