Most generous and gracious hospitality! The owner and his staff have gone out of their way to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. They provided me with a heater, since it was cold and the room I stayed in has no built in heater, I was allowed to use their washing machine, the owner gave me transportation and travel tips and offered rides to downtown Darjeeling to spare my budget, his staff accommodated my vulnerable stomach with regards to food and repeatedly checked on my wellbeing. Can only commend the team for their kindness, welcoming attitude and generosity!nWarm water and sufficient water pressure was always available.I was not aware that many Nepali houses have no central heating and the isolation is maybe not quite up to European standards. For someone like me, who freezes easily, that was not quite a pleasant surprise. Having said that, the host supplied more than sufficient blankets and also a portable heater and they kept supplying me with hot water to drink, so it all worked out on that end. nPlease see my positive remarks; overall, I'd definitely stay there again...maybe during Spring, Summer or early Autumn, though
It was a memorable and joyous experience. Mr. Thapa and his family are very hospitable and the staff is also very attentive and helpful. Recommended for a peaceful stay with a scenic view.
